Buh-bye, public bikes: Beijing’s public bike system, used primarily by the city’s high-functioning geriatric community, has finally succumbed to pressure from commercial share-bikes. The city announced that all such bikes and their stations in inner districts will be retired, thus making much needed room pedestrians – or for more commercial sharebike parking.
